Right out of the gate, the aroma is oaky, sawdust-like, almost resiny, but also peppery/spicy and earthy, sporting backnotes of dried leaves, bay leaf. In the mouth the flavor profile highlights the oak and grain influences, now in shades of vanilla, nougat, oatmeal. Tasty right through the brief finish.
