Powerful and expressive on the nose, it opens with smoked cherries and fragrant black currant aromas, backed by a savory dried herbs note. The palate is surprisingly lifted and elegant, the tannins are grippy but not aggressive, black plum, red berries and a touch of tar come through. Long finish.
